Growing deeper in God's love for me

This is me !

Hi all! I am Katie Herrmann and I am currently a sophomore at Taylor University studying Communication and Christian Ministries and Orphans and Vulnerable Children. I grew up in Fishers Indiana but feel called out of the midwest and possibly out of the country.

My first semester freshman year at Taylor, I was an education major but felt the Lord leading me towards something different. I developed the love for working with and for kids who were born into certain circumstances that they had no control over through multiple different volunteer and mission trip experiences and opportunities. I decided that I wanted to use my voice and passion for writing and creating awareness for those types of children and felt the way to do that was to become a communication major with a minor in orphans and vulnerable children.I believe the Lord gave me the passion and voice I have to be able to do all I can do to be the light for children who live in unfortunate circumstances by advocating for them in an organization that does so.

â€‹I am a daughter of the king who absolutely loves to travel and experience new cultures to understand why God created all of the different cultures that He did. I am a very curious, determined, people-focused, hope and joy-filled person who feels called to go anywhere the Lord tells her to go. I tend to shy away from the "norm" and dig deep into being my own person. My opinions, how I dress, how I present myself is extremely different than my parents but I believe that's what makes me, me.If I am being the woman of God I have created to be, then I am not doing anything wrong and I just need to focus on keeping Him in the center of all I say and do.

Here is my updated resume:

I'd love to hear from you !
